Simplified: O’Gorman High School finished last year as the No. 4 overall seed heading into the playoffs before an opening round upset to Harrisburg. The Knights’ offense could be sneaky again this year resulting in a possible playoff run. But like last year, O’Gorman will likely settle in around the 4 seed again in 2026.

Bishop O’Gorman is the smallest school in Class 11AAA, by far. Yet, the Knights have more than hung in there with their big school opponents. O’Gorman has nine state championships in football since the SDHSAA formed its current playoff format in 1981, the most of any Sioux Falls school.
