This week, there are basically no public meetings happening because it's a weird month where there are five Tuesdays. That said, there's still plenty of news to catch up on, including the latest crime statistics and a nonprofit closure sure to have significant ripple effects in our community.

- A big loss. Sioux Falls Thrive this morning announced it'll close operations effective Sept. 30. The nonprofit has led the charge for the last seven years on cradle-to-career workforce development, including starting initiatives like KidLink, the Eat Well Mobile Market, Food Rescue 605, Sioux Falls Youth Connect and more.
- Crime stats. The mayor and police chief are set to share the latest crime statistics, so we'll see if the trend of relatively flat/lower rates of crime continues.
